The history of the Salmon house is above all 3 generations of enthusiasts!

Michel, the grandfather, started working in the vineyards at the age of 14. In 1958, then 25 years old, he decided to set up his own farm, while continuing to sell his grapes to local cooperatives. When Olivier, his son, took over, he decided to become an “independent winegrower”, acquired a traditional press in order to carry out the work in the vineyard until the marketing of his champagnes. Since then, Alexandre continues the winemaking work and creates new vintages, while enhancing the Meunier.

The family is indeed keen to exploit the qualities of Pinot Meunier, which represents 85% of their estate. Less known than Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, it is gradually gaining its letters of nobility among fine connoisseurs.
