Collection: Champagne Philipponnat

The history of Philipponnat family is based in Champagne for 5 generations. April de Philipponnat, native Swiss, acquired lands in Ay (nowadays Grand Cru village) from François 1st in 1522. He began to product and sell wines, develop its expertise on vinification, which is still today a trademark of the House. This passion for the vineyard is then transmitted to the next generations, who perpetuate the family and regional tradition in Ay. 

In 1910, the Champagne House set up in Mareuil sur Ay, where it acquired cellars and the Clos des Goisses, which has since become an emblem of the brand. He gave his name to prestigious vintages, produced only with the harvest of the 5.5 hectares of vineyards adjoining the estate.
