Champagne Lancelot Royer
For 6 generations, the Lancelot-Royer family has worked in the vineyard.
Until 1960, the farm sold its grapes, after the harvest, to the great Champagne houses. Pierre Lancelot then made the decision to create his own brand and produce his own champagne, thus becoming an operator-manipulator, that is to say that the family works their vines to produce their own champagne. The production of bottles has increased over the years. Then the operation was passed on to Sylvie (her daughter) and Michel (her son-in-law), in 1996.
They are now at the head of the farm which has 5 hectares planted with Chardonnay, the house specialty. They thus only produce Whites de Blancs. The vines used are mainly Grand Cru and Premier Cru.
Production now represents 30,000 bottles per year, the family thus favoring the quality of champagne over quantity.
